Martinsville, VA - The Excel Germane Tooling Truck series made there 21st stop of the series at the "Paper Clip" Martinsville Speedway. 14 trucks would take time, with Donnie Smith setting fast time of an 21.654, followed by 2. Caleb Hines, 3. Erick Zegel, 4. Chris Rogers, 5. Jim Black, 6. Ty Griffith, 7. Cal Chandonnet, 8. Jim Melton, 9. Johnny Ganas, 10. Brett Manwill, 11. Kenny Hyde Jr., 12. Mitch Bombard, 13. David Cook, 14. Dan Yeager.

The 125 lap race would see 8 cautions for 35 laps. There would be 9 lead changes between 7 drivers. Caution 1 was on lap 10, Cal Chandonnet would loop it off of trun 4. On lap 33 Donnie Smith would also loop it off of turn 4. Lap 43 Brett Manwill checked up causing Jim Melton to check up also and being tagged from behind by David Cook. On the Lap 50 restart Caleb Hines would get loose in turns 3 and 4, which aloud Erick Zegel to sneak below him to take the lead. Lap 84 Kenny Hyde Jr. spins of turn 4 bringing out the 4th caution. Lap 91 Johnny Ganas would get into Cal Chandonnet causing Chandonnet spinning, Brett Manwill and David Cook were also involved. Lap 97 Jim Black would get into the back of Erick Zegel causing the another caution. Lap 116 Kenny Hyde Jr. would loop it in turns 1 and 2. With Hydes spin there would be a one lap shoot out. Lap 125 going into turn 1 Chris Rogers would get into Caleb Hines, causing Hines to spin. Cal Chandonnet would get by Rogers in turn 2 for the win. Johnny Ganas would finish second, Ty Griffith would end up in third, Erick Zegel finished fourth, and Caleb Hines would round out the top 5.
Only 4 points separate David Cook and Jim Melton for the Late Season Cahmp. Dan Yeager is 72 points back, Jim Black is 139 points back and Todd McDuffie is 146 points back. A close battle for second in points for the overall championship 2 points sparate Dan Yeager and David Cook, while Jim Melton has a big lead over Yeager and Cook of 213 points.
Next week the Excel Germane Tooling Truck Series will be making there second stop at Atlanta Motor speedway.

if someone could save the replay of the truck race tomorrow and send it to me, i will do another write up. I am currently having problem with my racing computer, i receive an error report when ever i click on Internet explorer Shocked , and even when i go to do windows updates same problem. Any one have any ideas please tell. Question  Question  Thanks! Very Happy
