Things EVERYONE is supposed to know, DUH.1. If a league has rules, READ THEM, KNOW THEM & UNDERSTAND THEM!
2. If you are following someone (running in there tracks) & both of ya's are arcing it into turns, and you decide to dive low and go for a pass. You can see in front of ya, the guy your chasing doesn't have eyes in the back of his head. If he starts arcing it down, LIFT!
ALSO on the other hand, if a car is CLEARLY up to your door and you can hear him, your spotter is telling you car high or car low, don't pull down or up on them.
3. If you are a lapper and cannot get by leaders right away. DON'T stay in the prefered line making lead cars go around you while racing for positions, GET OUTTA THE WAY!
4. If the caution comes out it's NOT a crime to lift and be cautious. If someone gets by pull up to em and they'll usually give you your spot back. If a car is stopped, and gets goining once traffic begins to clear DON'T BLAST IN thinking he see's you coming. And don't WRECK a half dozen cars under caution because you thought FULL SPEED was holding position.
5. If you got END OF LONGEST LINE, drop low, DO NOT KEEP PACE SPEED, let people know you got EOLL and let em by. STAY LOW not up in traffic.
6. If you haven't pitten in 5 cautions and over 3/4 of remaining field has everytime, don't try blocking your way to the win. Especially with 20 laps still to go. Everyone has strategy but staying out on a TIRE EATING TRACK (you gotta be kidding me).
7. If a setup is loose for 2 or 3 laps at first. Don't just MASH it on green from pace speed and don't start in 1st gear. You can't win if spin tires and get run over or SWERVE DOWN into traffic. (traffic being 30+ cars).
8. If there is a late wreck or any wreck for that matter. Once you take the caution that is the position you are in. Yes curcumstances may make your spotter tell ya to go forward but if you hold your position for 1 FULL LAP, your spotter will shut up after that. DON'T USE SPOTTER AS AN EXCUSE, most everyone has raced long enough to know this.
