Fort Worth, TX- The Excel Germane Tooling Truck Series headed to the Lone Star State for their 23rd stop of the series, at Texas Motor Speedway. A stong feild of 17 trucks would take time, with C Hindes coming out on top with a 30.636, followed by 2. Mike Manwill, 3. Erick Zegel, 4. Donnie Smith, 5. Ty Griffith, 6. D Cook, 7. Jim Black, 8. C Rogers, 9. Brett Manwill, 10. Ethan Ryner, 11. DYeager, 12. Cal Chandonnet, 13. Jim Melton, 14. M.Hemric, 15. E Fore, 16. AJ Wood, 17. Mitch Bombard.
The 84 lap race saw 4 yellows for 15 laps and 17 lead changes between 8 drivers. On lap 1, #26 would push up coming off of turn 2 and hit the #56 and collect the #1, #27, #28, and #96, causing the first yellow. Lap 30, While #55 was slowing up to make a gren flag pit stop, the #26 would get into the back of the #55 sending the #55 sideways and the #26 into the #92 and also involving the #88. Lap 47, #23 pushes up into the #17 sending the #17 into the outside wall in turn 2. Lap 68, #1 would get into the back of the #75 going into turn 1, sending the #75 for a spin. Cal Chandonnet would go for three in a row followed closly by, AJ Wood and Erick Zegel, Ty Griffith, Mike Manwill would round out the top 5.
David Cook took the lead over in the Late Season Points, Cook now has a 27 point lead. D. Yeager is now 46 points back from second place Jim Melton and only 73 points back from David Cook. In the overall points, theres just one point between DYeager and D Cook, while Melton's lead shrunk to 191 points with a DNF this week. Next week the series will head to Phoenix, for another night race.
